A fundamental concept of watershed protection is cooperation across political jurisdictions in the protection of land and water resources. The Watershed Center promotes collaboration on watershed programs with partner resource organizations through monthly information exchanges and speakers at Brown Bag Luncheons organized by the Center.

A broad base of partners has enabled The Watershed Center to fulfill its role of nurturing local and regional collaboration, across the private and public sectors, as well as across political jurisdictions. Project partners have included local governments, area businesses and business associations, neighborhood associations, citizen groups, other environmental and conservation organizations, educational institutions and many others.
